Modern Continents Industrial is looking for an experienced Software Developer to build, customize, and maintain its core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system specifically designed for manufacturing operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with production, inventory, and operations teams to streamline workflows and optimize factory processes. This opportunity requires a solid foundation in software development principles and the ability to apply technical skills to solve real-world challenges in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has at least two years of professional experience in software development and is proficient in programming languages, version control, database management, and software testing methodologies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, improving system performance, and ensuring software quality through test-driven development practices. This position does not include managing a team but emphasizes individual contribution and cross-functional cooperation to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain the ERP system to support manufacturing workflows and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, inventory, and operations to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Manage source code repositories using Git and apply version control effectively to track changes and handle releases.
- Design and maintain database structures and write efficient SQL queries to support application data needs.
- Implement and execute software testing plans including unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
- Apply test-driven development methodologies to enhance software robustness and reduce defects.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth system operation.
- Document software designs, processes, and updates clearly for future maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software development and manufacturing systems.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality codebase and share knowledge with peers.
- Assist with deployment activities and coordinate with operations teams to implement changes with minimal disruption.
