Senior Software QA Engineer – OMNI / Cpaas

Description

Monty Holding seeks a highly skilled Senior Software QA Engineer specializing in OMNI and CPaaS platforms to ensure the quality and reliability of messaging and communication services. The successful candidate will have at least five years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance within the telecom domain, focusing on SMS gateways, messaging infrastructure, and value-added services. This role requires a deep understanding of testing frameworks, protocols, and integration methods that support omnichannel communication platforms, including SMS, MMS, and other messaging channels. The Senior Software QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies encompassing automation frameworks, API testing, and end-to-end integration tests. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate system performance, reliability, and scalability, using cutting-edge testing tools and practices. This position does not involve team management but demands strong collaboration and communication skills to coordinate testing activities and report quality metrics effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using test automation frameworks tailored for CPaaS and omnichannel environments.
• Perform API testing for HTTP APIs related to SMS gateways and messaging platforms, ensuring accurate functionality and integration.
• Conduct comprehensive omnichannel testing to validate message delivery across SMS, MMS, and other supported messaging channels.
• Design and implement integration, regression, end-to-end, and performance tests to verify system stability and reliability under various load conditions.
• Use load and throughput testing tools such as JMeter to assess system performance, including TPS (Transactions Per Second) testing and failover capabilities.
• Analyze delivery receipts (DLR), call detail records (CDR), and message routing to verify correctness and troubleshoot issues in real-time production environments.
• Validate SMPP protocol implementations, including connectivity, routing rules, and operator integrations to ensure compliance with telecom standards.
• Work with database technologies such as SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis to access and verify test data and results throughout test execution.
• Leverage messaging queues like RabbitMQ and Apache Pulsar to simulate and monitor message flows and system behavior during testing cycles.
• Perform log analysis on Linux systems to identify and diagnose defects and performance bottlenecks in messaging gateways.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to continuously improve test coverage, quality processes, and automation efficiency.
• Document test plans, defects, and quality metrics to provide clear insights and actionable feedback to stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry trends in telecom QA, CPaaS technologies, and testing methodologies to enhance test strategy and execution.
