MsquareR is seeking skilled Building Electricians with at least one year of experience to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical wiring and systems in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires precision, knowledge of electrical safety protocols, and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Candidates will work closely with construction teams to ensure all electrical installations comply with legal and safety standards, providing safe and efficient electrical services. In this role, you will manage a team of six electricians, coordinating daily tasks and ensuring project deadlines are met effectively. Leadership and team management abilities are important as you will oversee the quality of work, provide guidance to team members, and collaborate with other trades on site. This position demands technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the capability to solve electrical issues promptly while maintaining excellent communication with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures in buildings according to layout plans and electrical codes.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify electrical problems and hazards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics for proper installation of electrical systems.
• Manage and supervise a team of six electricians, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety compliance.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Maintain all electrical tools, meters, and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with construction managers and other trade teams to coordinate work and meet project timelines.
• Ensure adherence to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards during installation and repair work.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in building wiring, lighting, and electrical panels.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Document work performed and report issues to supervisors to maintain transparency and record keeping.
• Stay updated on latest electrical industry trends, technologies, and safe work practices.
