Description
The Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GF) is providing grants to Pakistan since 2011 for prevention of HIV. The current grant is being implemented by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Nai Zindagi Trust (NZT) as Principal Recipients (PR). The PRs are responsible to implement various objectives of the overall Grant.
The overall goal is to reduce the number of new HIV infections and increase uptake of HIV preventive and treatment services with a high impact HIV response to improve the health and quality of life of people living with and affected by HIV in Pakistan. The objective of Global Fund HIV grant is to increase the prevention services for PWID and other key populations.
NZT is implementing HIV prevention services for PWID and spouses of HIV+ PWID through 45 CoPC + sites and ART Adherence Units across the four provinces of Pakistan providing coverage to 62 districts.

Qualification/ Experience Required
· Masters in Psychology (16 years Education)
· At least 3 to 5 Year of experience in relevant field.
· Experience in Program management, or related field in development programs; Global Fund, EU, USAID or other donor, or NGO preferred.
· Ability to write high level technical documents/reports.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
· Must be proficient in the use of computer especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Previous experience in working in Global Fund grants is desirable while previous experience with a variety of donors will be an added advantage.
· Excellent Communication skills both speaking & writing.
Responsibilities
Assessment
- Psychological assessment at time of admission.
- Read Mentor Report and give comments, sign and mark to relevant persons for action
- Assessment of clients in house operating systems.
- Assess and recommend clients for volunteer work at Centre.
- Assess clients for HIV related knowledge upon admission and discharge.
Counselling
- Conduct Lectures and group sessions as per schedule.
- Individual counseling sessions with clients
- Assessment and diffusion of the LAMA phase.
- Family counseling sessions to seek meaningful support for the client.
- Ensure clients complete their assignments.
- Provide job assistance and counseling to Clients within AAU enterprises.
Coordination & Communication
- Give input in weekly departmental shuffling (SOPs to be followed).
- Monitor and feedback on working of house operating system daily.
- Handle and resolve issues related to the departmental problems.
- Promptly inform the Manager and administrator of all issues related to House operating systems in writing.
- Handle crisis situation caused by clients and inform manager about it.
- Monitor interns at Centre.
