In line with our strategy, the Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professional(s) for the following position in the area of of Digital Banking based at Karachi.
The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following position:
Position / Job Title:
Unit Head – Data Architect (AVP / VP)
Reporting to:
Wing Head – BI Data Governance and Analytics
Educational /Professional Qualification:
Minimum Graduation in Business Administration / Economics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a local or international university/ college / Institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
Candidates having a Master’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Information Systems / Engineering / Information Technology or relevant certification would be preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 06 years of experience in banking and / or Fintech and / or Financial Institution, including 03 years of experience in Data Architecture and / or Data Modelling and / or Data Warehousing / Lakehouse and / or Data Integration and / or MDM (Master Data Management) and / or Business Intelligence
- Candidates having experience with cloud and / or hybrid data platforms and / or enterprise databases and / or BI ecosystems and / or data security / privacy and / or banking regulatory requirements would be preferred
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and Modern Data Platform architecture
- Expertise in designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions, enterprise data integration, API integration, Change Data Capture (CDC), event-driven architectures, and streaming data pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid data ecosystems, including any of (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Apache Spark-based) platforms
- Knowledge of enterprise integration technologies, including REST APIs, message queues, Kafka, event streaming, and microservices architecture
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable enterprise data solutions
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- To lead the development and execution of the enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, aligned with the Bank's digital transformation and regulatory requirements
- To oversee the management and maintenance of enterprise data models, ensuring integrity, scalability, and alignment across business units and systems
- To establish and enforce data governance standards, policies, and best practices to ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality data management
- To establish enterprise-wide data standards, naming conventions, metadata standards, and modelling guidelines
- To ensure alignment between enterprise architecture, business architecture, application architecture, and data architecture
- To design enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures
- To define enterprise data integration patterns for batch, real-time, streaming, API-based, and event-driven integrations
- To establish enterprise ETL/ELT architecture and data movement standards
- To collaborate with data engineering, analytics, IT, and business teams to design scalable data integration and storage solutions supporting enterprise-wide needs
- To collaborate with Data Governance teams to implement enterprise data governance frameworks
- To lead data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives for trusted and governed data
- To mentor and lead the data architecture team, driving technical excellence and continuous improvement
- To manage vendor relationships and partnerships to implement modern data architecture and advanced analytics tools
- To stay updated on emerging technologies in data architecture, cloud platforms, and advanced analytics to maintain a future-ready data ecosystem
- To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Employment Type:
The employment will be on contractual basis for three years which may be renewed on discretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank’s Policy / rules.
