In line with our strategy, the Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professional(s) for the following position in the area of Digital Banking based in Karachi.
The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following position:
Position / Job Title:
Unit Head – Infrastructure (AVP / VP)
Reporting to:
Wing Head – BI Operations
Educational /Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Computer Information Systems / Engineering or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
- Candidates having a Master’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / or relevant certifications, such as Data Sciences / Data Engineering certification on AWS or Azure platform will be preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 06 years of experience in Banking and / or Fintech and / or Financial Institution and / or Telecom and / or Software House, including 03 years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or database administration, preferably in supporting data platforms and BI systems
- Candidates having experience in managing and scaling enterprise data warehouse infrastructure, big data platforms and cloud data platforms would be preferred
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- Expertise in database performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability architecture
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong knowledge of data platform technologies, such as Hadoop / Cloudera, Teradata, Oracle, or Linux / VMware-based platforms, and with vendor and cloud cost management (FinOps)
- Ability to design and manage scalable, secure infrastructure solutions for data and analytics
workloads - Strong knowledge of backup / recovery, disaster recovery, and security best practices
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- To implement and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy for the BI & Analytics data platform division, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
- To collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to align infrastructure with business needs and recommend new technologies to enhance data capabilities
- To lead capacity planning and performance tuning for database systems and platforms to meet business demands
- To manage infrastructure security, access controls, and compliance for data platforms in collaboration with IT security teams
- To oversee the monitoring and optimization of data warehouse infrastructure, big data platforms, and cloud data services
- To design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical BI and analytics systems
- To implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation for data platform components
- To oversee patch management, version upgrades, and lifecycle management for data platform infrastructure
- To manage vendor relationships and SLAs for infrastructure, cloud, and support services
- To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Employment Type:
The employment will be on contractual basis for three years which may be renewed on discretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank’s Policy / rules.
