Description
Neriya Tech Academy is looking for a highly skilled Cyber Security professional with at least ten years of hands-on experience in enterprise cybersecurity environments. This role involves training and mentoring learners through live, practical sessions that cover a broad range of cybersecurity topics, including SOC operations, incident response, cloud security, vulnerability management, application security, identity and access management, and governance, risk, and compliance. The Cyber Security expert will leverage their deep technical knowledge and practical experience with tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Wireshark, and cloud security platforms to help students gain confidence and mastery in investigating security incidents, analyzing evidence, and applying controls effectively. As a Cyber Security trainer, you will develop and deliver engaging lessons integrating real-world scenarios and AI applications like assisted alert triage and incident investigation workflows. The position requires excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex cybersecurity concepts to learners with varying levels of expertise. Although you will not be managing a team, your role will be critical in shaping aspiring cybersecurity professionals by providing hands-on guidance, reviewing assignments, and fostering an environment conducive to learning and skill development. The schedule aligns primarily with US morning through evening hours, Monday to Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, interactive lessons, demonstrations, and practical hands-on labs that simulate real enterprise cybersecurity challenges.
- Develop comprehensive enterprise-level projects with clear instructions, measurable outcomes, and assessment criteria to facilitate experiential learning.
- Guide learners in investigating security alerts, analyzing digital evidence, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate security controls to mitigate risks.
- Review learner assignments thoroughly and provide timely, constructive feedback and answers to questions via the instructor dashboard.
- Assist learners in articulating their project approaches, troubleshooting methods, and technical decisions effectively in interview settings.
- Integrate relevant artificial intelligence techniques into teaching materials to aid alert triage, incident reporting, and ensure data privacy with human oversight.
- Create and teach specific, practical projects such as simulated phishing investigations using email and endpoint logs, SIEM detection workflow tuning, cloud environment security hardening using least privilege principles, vulnerability assessment prioritization, and AI-assisted incident workflows with instructor-verification processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and evolving best practices to continuously enhance curriculum relevance and accuracy.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels while maintaining high standards of technical rigor and clarity.
