Description
NESC is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD, construction management, and cost estimation, with a strong focus on quality control and construction quality management. This role requires proficiency in technical drawing and blueprint reading, quantity takeoff, and project budgeting to ensure successful planning and execution of construction projects. The Civil Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supervising infrastructure projects from inception through completion. The successful candidate will lead a team of 5 professionals, fostering collaboration and efficiency within the group to meet project timelines and quality standards. The role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage project resources effectively. The Civil Engineer will engage with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while driving continuous improvement in project delivery and engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction plans, drawings, and blueprints using AutoCAD tools to support project requirements and client specifications.
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and supervision to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Lead and coordinate a team of 5 professionals, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development.
- Conduct cost estimation and quantity takeoff to accurately forecast project expenses and material requirements.
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures and construction quality management practices to maintain high standards across all project stages.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to resolve design issues and optimize construction methodologies.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, and environmental standards.
- Prepare regular project progress reports and present findings to stakeholders with clear documentation and technical insight.
- Evaluate structural components and recommend improvements or modifications to enhance design integrity and functionality.
- Support procurement processes by specifying material types and engaging suppliers to secure necessary construction resources.
