Description
Niaz Clinic seeks a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care to patients within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in patient care, medication administration, wound management, and monitoring vital signs. They must demonstrate the ability to perform intravenous therapy, including cannulation, as well as the application of sterile and regular dressing techniques with attention to hygiene and infection control protocols. Additionally, this role requires the ability to identify adverse drug reactions and respond appropriately, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. The Staff Nurse will operate under direct supervision without managing a team but will be expected to make autonomous decisions related to routine patient care. A basic understanding of computer applications will facilitate documentation and communication within the healthcare team. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality are essential. The nurse will adhere strictly to clinic policies regarding patient hygiene and conduct, contributing to a supportive and respectful clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions regularly.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, observing for any adverse drug reactions and reporting them promptly.
- Perform intravenous therapy procedures such as IV cannulation in compliance with established medical protocols.
- Apply wound care techniques including sterile dressing and wound assessment to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using basic computer skills for documentation and communication within the clinical team.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene standards by enforcing infection control practices both for patients and staff.
- Demonstrate good manners and professional conduct in interactions with patients, families, and clinical staff.
- Make informed decisions in clinical situations within scope of practice to optimize patient outcomes.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during medical procedures as required.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, medication use, and post-treatment care instructions.
