Description
Noble Plastic is seeking an experienced Godown Incharge to oversee warehouse operations and maintain effective inventory control. This role requires managing all aspects of inventory management, stock auditing, and material handling to ensure smooth logistics coordination within the godown. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in godown operations and demonstrate strong capabilities in using stock auditing and inventory management software. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it carries significant responsibility in maintaining accuracy and reliability throughout warehouse processes. The Godown Incharge at Noble Plastic is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring precise stock reconciliation, and coordinating deliveries and material movements efficiently. This position demands attention to detail and the ability to anticipate and resolve inventory discrepancies. The selected individual will work closely with logistics and procurement departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations and accurate reporting, directly impacting the company’s overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including inventory receipt, storage, and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and perform regular stock reconciliation to prevent discrepancies.
- Conduct periodic stock audits using stock auditing software to verify inventory levels and identify losses or damages.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely and safe movement of materials within and outside the warehouse.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for material handling and storage to maximize space and improve safety.
- Use inventory management software to keep real-time records of stock availability, orders, and deliveries.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and recommend appropriate purchasing or stock reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards in warehouse operations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory and stock-related discrepancies promptly to maintain accuracy.
- Collaborate with procurement to schedule and prioritize incoming shipments and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Report regularly to management on inventory status, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to facilitate efficient operations and reduce risk.
