Description
As the Assistant Manager Finance at NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited, you lead a dedicated finance team of two members, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and enhance team performance. You play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, delivering financial insights that support strategic decision-making and resource optimization. You also manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, collaborating closely with auditors to complete audits successfully and implementing recommendations. By continuously reviewing and improving financial policies and procedures, you ensure efficiency and compliance with evolving financial legislation and industry best practices. Your responsibilities extend to monitoring financial risks and providing critical financial data and analysis to support cross-functional team initiatives, driving business improvements and operational efficiency within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance team of two members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance and professional development.
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain financial integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with taxation laws and prepare accurate tax filings in accordance with current regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and prepare detailed regulatory reports, ensuring adherence to all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgeting and financial projections; analyze variances and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Manage treasury activities including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and investment decision-making to optimize financial resources.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit completion and implement recommended improvements.
- Review and improve financial policies and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior leadership to support strategic business decisions.
- Monitor financial risks and implement internal controls to mitigate potential adverse impacts on the organization.
- Stay current with changes in financial legislation, standards, and best practices, ensuring departmental compliance.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing financial insights and data analysis to drive business improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
