Description
NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited is looking for a dedicated Manager or Assistant Manager for its Shariah Audit department. This role requires a professional who can lead and manage a team of two, overseeing all aspects of Shariah audit planning, execution, and reporting. The successful candidate plays a crucial role in ensuring that the bank complies with Shariah principles by identifying risks and recommending appropriate mitigation measures. With at least three years of relevant experience, the individual will assist in developing a risk-based annual audit plan and stay updated on the latest regulations and standards introduced by AAOIFI in Shariah banking. The role calls for meticulous attention to detail and effective communication with stakeholders to uphold the integrity of Shariah compliance within the bank. The candidate must be proactive in monitoring regulatory changes and capable of implementing internal audit frameworks tailored to Shariah principles. Additional responsibilities include handling any tasks assigned by management aimed at strengthening the bank’s Shariah audit functions and contributing to the bank's overall compliance strategy.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on Shariah audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the bank's policies.
- Assist in the development and preparation of a risk-based annual audit plan focused on Shariah compliance.
- Identify potential risks related to Shariah compliance during audits and recommend appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor updates and changes in Shariah banking regulations, ensuring the bank's operations align with AAOIFI standards and other relevant guidelines.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations for management review and decision making.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across various departments to facilitate audit processes and address any compliance issues.
- Maintain and improve the internal audit framework specifically tailored to Shariah audit functions and objectives.
- Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to a team of two audit professionals, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality audit delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate Shariah compliance into business operations and policies.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management to enhance the bank's Shariah compliance and audit activities.
Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's. Preferably Master's
Experience: The ideal candidate must have at least (03-05) years of relevant banking experience
