NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking a dedicated Manager Risk to lead and oversee the organization's risk management operations. This role focuses on ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance with guidelines set by the State Bank of Pakistan and other authorities. The Manager Risk will be responsible for managing risk frameworks, assessing potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to protect the bank's financial and reputational interests. This position includes direct management of a team of 2 risk professionals, providing leadership and fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organization. In this role, the Manager Risk coordinates regulatory submissions, monitors changes in regulatory requirements, and collaborates with various departments to enhance risk management policies and controls. The role demands strong analytical skills to evaluate risk data and develop comprehensive risk mitigation plans. The Manager also prepares reports for audits and ensures timely resolution of any audit findings to avoid penalties. Ongoing training and development of the risk team are central to maintaining high standards of operational risk management within the bank.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance with the State Bank of Pakistan guidelines, internal policies, and Standard Operating Procedures of the bank.
• Manage and control the processing of general banking activities, ensuring consistent adherence to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all regulatory submissions to the State Bank of Pakistan and other authorities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive control book tracking all relevant regulations, compliance statuses, and processes related to regulatory adherence.
• Lead and manage a team of two risk professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management to achieve departmental goals.
• Analyze risk data and reports to identify potential risk exposures and develop effective mitigation strategies within banking operations.
• Develop and enforce operational risk management frameworks and controls to minimize financial and reputational risks to the bank.
• Prepare detailed reports for internal and external audits, ensuring prompt addressal of audit observations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with various departments to implement and update risk management policies, promoting cohesiveness and compliance across bank operations.
• Monitor ongoing changes in regulatory requirements from entities such as SBP, FIA, ANF, and NAB, updating internal processes to maintain full compliance.
• Coordinate responses and corrective actions related to audit findings, driving continuous improvement in risk management practices and internal controls.
• Conduct regular training sessions for team members focused on risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management principles.
• Ensure timely identification and escalation of potential risks or compliance breaches to senior management for effective resolution.
• Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management to support the bank's risk management objectives and organizational goals.
