Description
The Planning Engineer at One Facility Management (Pvt) Ltd plays a critical role in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet their deadlines. This position involves the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, tracking progress, and identifying potential delays and risks. The engineer collaborates closely with various departments including Project Management, Design, Cost, Procurement, Consultants, and Construction teams to ensure all activities are aligned with the overall project milestones. With responsibility for a team of two, the Planning Engineer leads coordination efforts and supports the team in managing scheduling, risk mitigation, and recovery plans effectively. The role demands a strong understanding of project scheduling techniques such as the Critical Path Method and adherence to recognized standards like ISO 31000 for risk management. The successful candidate will produce comprehensive look-ahead schedules, progress reports, and detailed schedule analyses to provide management with clear visibility of project status and potential risks. This position requires a professional with at least five years of experience in planning and project control, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate schedule-related issues clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain master project schedules, WBS, activity sequencing, dependencies and critical paths.
- Track actual progress against approved programs and identify schedule variances, delays and critical activities.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Design, Cost, Procurement, Consultants and Construction teams to align project milestones.
- Identify programme risks and support the development of recovery plans and mitigation actions.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, S-curves and schedule analysis, providing clear visibility of project status and risks to management.
