Ora-Tech Systems Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Oracle Engineer System (Exadata/Exacc) Administrator with eight years of professional experience to manage and optimize Oracle Exadata environments. The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in Oracle Exadata Administration, Oracle RMAN backup and recovery, as well as Exadata patching and upgrade management. You will be responsible for maintaining high availability and performance of Oracle databases in complex enterprise environments, including banking and telecommunications sectors. This role demands a proactive approach to performance diagnostics, tuning, and infrastructure management without direct team management responsibilities. You will work closely with clients to understand their database infrastructure needs and provide technical support with excellent communication and client handling skills. The position requires hands-on experience in Real Application Clusters (RAC), Grid Infrastructure, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and advanced command-line administration tools such as ASMCMD and ASMCA. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of Oracle systems, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and best practices within enterprise infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Administer Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Perform Oracle RMAN backup and recovery operations to secure critical enterprise data and manage disaster recovery scenarios.
- Manage and execute Exadata patching and upgrade processes, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
- Conduct AWR/ASH diagnostics and SQL performance tuning to troubleshoot and enhance database efficiency.
- Configure and maintain Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Grid Infrastructure to support high availability and scalability.
- Oversee Automatic Storage Management (ASM) including disk group management with ASMCMD and ASMCA tools for storage optimization.
- Utilize ASMCMD command-line interface for storage management, including creating, resizing, and dropping disk groups and volumes.
- Collaborate with clients in banking, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors to deliver tailored solutions and support.
- Monitor database health and proactively address issues to prevent service disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Implement security best practices and compliance measures within Oracle database environments.
- Document system configurations, operational procedures, and support guides for effective knowledge sharing.
- Respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot technical problems, and provide root cause analysis to improve system reliability.
