Description
ORISON Eyewear is seeking a qualified and confident Optometrist to join their growing team in Rawalpindi. The ideal candidate combines expert eye care knowledge with excellent customer service skills to provide patients with comprehensive vision assessments and personalized eyewear solutions. This role involves performing detailed eye examinations, determining prescriptions, fitting contact lenses, and guiding customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. Although not responsible for managing a team, the Optometrist works closely with showroom staff to create a premium, customer-focused optical experience. The position requires a degree or diploma in Optometry or a relevant qualification, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in optical care is preferred, but enthusiastic fresh graduates with solid practical knowledge are encouraged to apply. The Optometrist is expected to maintain thorough patient records and provide professional education to customers about eye health and optical products, ensuring accurate measurements and proper fitting of lenses and frames.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and perform visual acuity testing to assess patients’ vision and eye health.
- Measure refractive errors accurately and determine appropriate prescriptions for corrective lenses.
- Fit contact lenses and provide guidance on their use, care, and maintenance.
- Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that align with their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.
- Explain lens types, coatings, high-index lenses, and optical solutions to help customers make informed decisions.
- Take precise measurements to ensure optimal frame fitting and comfort for each patient.
- Maintain detailed patient records, including examination results, prescriptions, and treatment plans.
- Answer patient and customer questions professionally, providing education on eye health, vision care, and product usage.
- Collaborate with the showroom team to deliver an exceptional and personalized customer service experience.
- Stay updated on the latest advances in optometry to ensure the use of current best practices and optical technologies.
