The Production Supervisor at Osaka Lighting leads and manages a team of 50 employees within the Step Light department. This role involves overseeing daily production activities to ensure that targets are met with high-quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The supervisor assigns tasks and work shifts, monitors employee attendance and performance, and addresses any disciplinary matters. Additionally, this position requires close collaboration with the store, quality, and maintenance departments to prevent production delays, along with preparing detailed production reports that include output, rejection rates, downtime, and workforce metrics. The Production Supervisor also plays a crucial role in training new employees and enforcing standard work procedures to maximize productivity and maintain consistency. A strong focus on safety compliance and proper use of personal protective equipment is essential, ensuring that all operations adhere to the company’s policies and standard operating protocols. This position demands a minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory capacity and excellent skills in production planning and scheduling to manage team workload efficiently and maintain seamless production flow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the Step Light department workforce, assigning tasks and scheduling shifts to meet production requirements.
• Ensure daily production targets are achieved with strict adherence to quality standards.
• Generate comprehensive daily and monthly production reports detailing output, rejections, downtime, and manpower utilization.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area by enforcing safety regulations and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Monitor worker attendance, discipline, and overall performance, reporting any issues to management for timely resolution.
• Coordinate effectively with store, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to minimize production interruptions and delays.
• Train new employees on operational procedures and maintain standardized work methods across the department.
• Implement continuous improvements to processes, enhancing productivity and reducing waste.
• Manage workflow to ensure balanced workloads across team members while adapting to production demands.
• Support adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements within the production environment.
