A & K Builders is a growing construction company. We are hiring an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to join our design and technical team at our Head Office.

Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Create architectural, structural, and construction drawings using AutoCAD software, focusing on precision and clarity.
- Translate rough sketches and engineer's instructions into detailed and accurate drawings suitable for construction purposes.
- Perform revisions and updates to drawings as project designs evolve and requirements change.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings to facilitate all phases of construction.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate actively with engineers, architects, and site teams to clarify and resolve drawing details.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and records to ensure easy retrieval and version control.
- Study and interpret construction drawings to ensure accuracy and support project workflow.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicate clearly within the team to support project progress and foster a cooperative environment.
Experience

Required Skills
- Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Civil / Architecture or a related field
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Drafter
- Strong command of AutoCAD (2D required, 3D is a plus)
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills
- Knowledge of Revit
- Knowledge of SketchUp
- Experience in the construction or real estate industry
