Packages is seeking a Public Relations Officer (PRO) to join its communications team. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience and excels in writing effective press releases. This role involves managing a team of five professionals to ensure smooth communication and public relations efforts that uphold the company's reputation and foster positive media relationships. The PRO is responsible for drafting, editing, and distributing press releases and other communication materials. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate the efforts of the team to meet deadlines and deliver quality content that aligns with the company’s messaging and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, write, and distribute clear and persuasive press releases on behalf of the company.
• Manage and support a team of five PR professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information and approvals for communication materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists to facilitate positive coverage.
• Ensure all communications adhere to company standards and legal guidelines.
• Monitor media coverage and compile reports to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
• Organize and oversee public relations events and press conferences as required.
• Assist in crisis communication situations to protect and enhance the company’s public image.
• Track industry trends and competitor activities to recommend improvements in PR strategies.
• Maintain a comprehensive archive of all press releases and related communications.
