Description

PAK HY - Oils Limited seeks a highly experienced Manager Import & Export to oversee and optimize all import and export operations related to lubricants, base oils, and chemicals. The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of hands-on experience in the lubricant, base oil, and chemical industries, with a strong understanding of international trade compliance and customs regulations. This role focuses on ensuring smooth and efficient logistics management, supply chain coordination, and comprehensive import/export documentation processes. The candidate will expertly manage carrier and freight forwarder relationships and handle all customs documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international standards. This position requires in-depth knowledge of HS Codes, particularly 2710, 3403, and 3811, with a proven track record in managing imports of base oil, additives, and chemicals. Expertise in customs clearance procedures, including WeBOC, PSW, LC opening, and familiarity with port operations at KPT and Port Qasim, is essential. The selected candidate will leverage strong contacts with clearing agents, shipping lines, and banks to maintain efficient operations. Although this role does not involve managing a team, the manager plays a critical liaison role across departments and external partners to maintain seamless import and export functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all import and export activities to ensure compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations.
• Coordinate logistics and supply chain operations to optimize the movement of base oils, additives, chemicals, and lubricants.
• Handle complete import/export documentation including customs declarations, Harmonized System (HS) tariff classifications, and related paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clearing agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and banks to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely shipments.
• Utilize WeBOC and PSW systems for electronic customs clearance processes and manage LC opening for import transactions.
• Ensure compliance with HS codes 2710, 3403, 3811 and oversee tariff classification to avoid delays and penalties.
• Manage import clearance processes at Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Port Qasim, coordinating with port authorities and stakeholders for efficient operations.
• Monitor and control import-export compliance, ensuring adherence to all local and international trade regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to align logistics with supply demand and reduce operational disruptions.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of import/export documentation and processes to improve accuracy and compliance.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting import and export activities and implement necessary adjustments promptly.
• Provide expert advice and support on trade compliance, customs procedures, and documentation requirements to internal teams.
• Facilitate problem resolution related to shipments, customs issues, or logistical delays in partnership with relevant external and internal stakeholders.
