The position requires a professional who is skilled in lesson planning, standards-based and differentiated instruction, and who actively uses formative and summative assessments to enhance learning outcomes. The Mathematics Teacher will not manage a team but will collaborate closely with faculty and utilize student data analysis to tailor educational strategies. The role demands integration of educational technology to support dynamic and interactive lessons that cover key topics in expressions and equations, geometry, and measurement. This position also emphasizes classroom management skills to maintain an environment conducive to learning and growth. Experience of at least five years in teaching middle school mathematics is essential to ensure the ability to meet the diverse needs of learners and uphold the school’s standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with middle school curriculum standards to facilitate student understanding of complex concepts.
• Implement differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
• Use formative and summative assessments regularly to monitor students’ academic progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Analyze student data to identify learning gaps and develop targeted interventions to improve mathematical skills and outcomes.
• Integrate educational technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and provide interactive learning experiences.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and structured learning environment.
• Teach core middle school mathematical topics including expressions and equations, geometry, measurement, and other relevant areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align instructional strategies and share best practices for student achievement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, assessment results, and progress reports.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in mathematics education and instructional techniques.
