Description
The Store Keeper at Paragon City (Pvt.) Ltd plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory of construction materials, tools, and equipment. The Store Keeper contributes to maintaining smooth site operations by preventing loss, damage, and waste of resources. This role demands a candidate with at least five years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts degree. The ideal candidate is proficient in inventory management, stock control, and material handling, and skilled in utilizing inventory software and ERP systems to track and manage stock efficiently. Though this position does not involve team management, strong organizational and record-keeping abilities are essential to ensure that inventory data remains accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of construction materials, tools, and equipment for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the store or stockyard to ensure easy access and prevent damage or deterioration.
- Accurately issue materials and equipment to workers according to approved requisitions and maintain detailed records of stock movements.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with inventory records to identify discrepancies and report losses.
- Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems to update and maintain accurate stock levels and generate reports.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and storage guidelines to protect inventory and personnel.
- Coordinate with procurement and site management teams to forecast demand and avoid stock shortages or excesses.
- Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or excess inventory items to minimize waste and optimize storage space.
- Maintain clear and organized records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
- Support audit activities by providing documentation and facilitating stock verification processes.
- Follow company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory control and site safety.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve inventory management processes and reduce operational inefficiencies.
