ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR

Description

Piffers Security Services (Pvt) Limited is seeking a skilled English Language Instructor to deliver comprehensive language training to adult foreign students. The instructor will design and implement lessons ranging from survival and beginner levels to specialized advanced courses tailored to the unique needs of learners. This role requires developing course materials, conducting proficiency assessments, tracking student progress, and providing targeted feedback and counseling to ensure continuous improvement in language proficiency. The instructor will work primarily on-site in Islamabad, adhering to a structured schedule, with occasional virtual sessions utilizing approved communication platforms. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in English with at least four years of relevant teaching experience and demonstrates proficiency in the NFATC language-teaching methodology. This position demands strong cultural competence to engage a diverse student body effectively and technical proficiency with educational technology and language learning software. Candidates should be prepared to participate in a security clearance process as part of the hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver language courses at survival, beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, including specialized short courses for various learner groups.
• Provide guided study, language coaching, and section-specific training tailored to learners' job responsibilities and goals.
• Develop, prepare, and maintain training materials and teaching aids, ensuring an organized and up-to-date resource library.
• Administer initial and ongoing proficiency assessments to establish learner baselines and monitor progress over time.
• Document detailed learner progress by lesson module and design remedial or supplementary training plans to address areas of need.
• Conduct bi-weekly counseling sessions with students and offer weekly support for learners at risk of underperformance.
• Prepare comprehensive end-of-session feedback and periodic reports with recommendations for curriculum and instructional improvements.
• Utilize approved virtual platforms such as Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, and Skype to conduct remote teaching sessions when necessary.
• Maintain professional communication standards with learners, including proficiency in professional correspondence and email etiquette.
• Support a culturally diverse student population with respect and understanding to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in the standard security clearance and vetting procedures as required by the client.
