Description
This role requires a combination of client advocacy, meticulous field data collection, and administrative coordination aligned with organizational policies. The Welfare Coordinator is responsible for completing socio-economic verifications to confirm program eligibility and produce comprehensive reports to inform decision-making. Additional duties include handling vendor negotiations, conducting market visits for purchasing activities, and facilitating banking operations such as cheque deposits and document submissions without accounting or bookkeeping responsibilities. The position does not involve team management but requires reliability, discretion, and professionalism while working independently in diverse and sensitive environments. This role is crucial in maintaining the transparency and integrity of welfare programs, ensuring the Foundation's support reaches the intended individuals efficiently and ethically.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed field verification visits to assess the eligibility of poor, needy, and deserving individuals for welfare assistance programs.
- Verify and document socio-economic conditions, validate beneficiary information, and prepare factual and comprehensive verification reports.
- Coordinate and execute banking-related outdoor tasks including cheque deposits, submission of documents, and coordination with banking institutions.
- Manage field purchasing activities, including conducting market surveys, vendor coordination, collection of quotations, and follow-up on delivery schedules.
- Perform administrative and operational tasks assigned by management to support the smooth implementation of welfare initiatives.
- Collect, obtain signatures on, and submit official documents, forms, acknowledgments, and approvals from beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for beneficiaries, vendors, and institutions, representing the Foundation in the field with integrity and respect.
- Provide timely updates and status reports from the field to support effective monitoring and evaluation of welfare programs.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of verification visits, procurement activities, and document submissions to ensure transparency.
- Adhere strictly to ethical standards, confidentiality agreements, and data protection practices in handling sensitive welfare-related information and communications.
- Demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness in managing financial transactions related to purchasing and vendor coordination following established banking and purchasing procedures.
- Adapt to changing field conditions and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs and deadlines.
