Pointerz Group seeks an experienced Entomologist to lead a team of four specialists in the study, identification, and management of insect species impacting agricultural and food safety sectors. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Entomology, Zoology, Agriculture, or a related field and has at least one year of experience in pest control or related areas. The role involves extensive fieldwork, including insect collection and survey, pest identification, and the application of integrated pest management (IPM) strategies. Clear communication skills in both English and Urdu are essential to collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders. This position requires willingness to travel to various client sites to conduct surveys and implement pest control solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

The Entomologist leads field sampling efforts to collect and identify insect pest specimens, utilizing expert knowledge of taxonomy and biology. They design and implement effective integrated pest management programs, selecting appropriate biological, cultural, and chemical control measures. The position involves rearing insect colonies for study and experimentation, ensuring accurate observations relevant to pest control strategies. Coordination and supervision of the four-person team are critical to maintaining high standards in data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role also demands regular communication with clients to assess pest issues, develop tailored control plans, and monitor outcomes to ensure food safety and agricultural productivity. The Entomologist stays abreast of the latest developments in pest management science, applying innovations to improve client service and environmental sustainability.
