In this role, the Delivery Boy will be tasked with organizing delivery routes, handling packages with care, and communicating effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery status. Attention to vehicle maintenance, such as checking engine oil and coolant levels, is essential to avoid delays due to mechanical issues. The position demands an individual with excellent knowledge of traffic laws, hazard awareness, and the ability to work under pressure to meet daily delivery quotas. Responsibilities
- Plan and follow daily delivery routes to ensure timely parcel delivery.
- Operate delivery vehicle safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Handle packages carefully to avoid damage during transit.
- Maintain regular vehicle checks, including engine oil and coolant levels, to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Navigate efficiently through urban and suburban areas using maps or GPS devices to optimize delivery schedules.
- Communicate with customers professionally to inform them about the status of their deliveries.
- Manage time effectively to complete deliveries within specified time frames.
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays to the supervisor promptly.
- Keep accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required.
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned regularly and kept in good operating condition.
- Follow company safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or incidents during delivery.
