Description
PureCut Productions seeks a skilled Mid-Level Video Editor with at least 1.5 years of experience in video editing, specializing in talking-head and podcast content. The ideal candidate is proficient in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and CapCut, with a strong understanding of color grading, motion graphics, and audio editing. This role requires a creative individual who excels at storytelling through careful pacing and retention-focused editing, ensuring that each piece of content engages and captivates audiences effectively. Candidates should possess basic audio cleanup skills and be comfortable working under deadlines with daily output targets. This position does not involve team management but calls for a responsible and detail-oriented professional able to contribute independently to the production process. The editor will also work with various video formats, including vertical video and captioning styles, to meet diverse content delivery requirements. A portfolio or showreel showcasing previous work is essential for demonstrating capability and style aligned with PureCut Productions' standards.
Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble video footage with a focus on talking-heads and podcast-style content to produce polished final products.
- Apply color correction and grading techniques to ensure visually appealing and consistent video quality.
- Design and integrate motion graphics using Adobe After Effects and other relevant tools to enhance video storytelling.
- Perform audio editing including sound design, audio cleanup, and synchronization to improve sound clarity and impact.
- Manage workflows using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and CapCut, adapting to the needs of different projects.
- Implement pacing and storytelling principles to maintain viewer engagement and optimize content retention.
- Format videos for various platforms, incorporating vertical formats and captioning styles to broaden accessibility.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily deadlines and output targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain an organized project archive ensuring ease of access and future revisions.
- Continuously update skills and stay informed about new editing techniques and software advancements in video production.
