Description
The Assistant Manager – Production Planning & Control at Recruit AI plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the production planning process to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves preparing comprehensive production plans on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis based on customer orders, forecast data, and available capacity. The professional will also develop and maintain detailed production schedules, rapidly adjusting them when disruptions occur, such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or changing priorities. The position requires close coordination with purchasing, stores, sales, dispatch, quality, and engineering teams to ensure material availability, on-time delivery, and smooth production flow. Maintaining accurate data in ERP/SAP systems and supporting continuous improvement initiatives are critical to successful performance. The role demands a strong understanding of material requirements planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and production monitoring within a manufacturing environment. Candidates are expected to have around three years of practical experience in production planning or materials management, preferably in non-automotive manufacturing sectors such as capital goods, engineering products, FMCG, electrical, or process industries. The ideal Assistant Manager is analytical, disciplined, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills to work collaboratively across multiple departments. While this position does not include direct team management responsibilities, it requires effective cross-functional coordination to meet production goals and customer delivery commitments accurately and efficiently.
