Description
The Utilities Incharge at Recruit AI leads the management and maintenance of all utility systems essential to pharmaceutical manufacturing at Livewell Capsules Pvt. Ltd., a reputed producer of empty hard gelatine capsules. The role demands a skilled professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience in utility or engineering operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. Managing a team of five personnel, the Utilities Incharge ensures the continuous operation, safety, and compliance of systems such as HVAC, industrial refrigeration, boilers, and generators. This position plays a critical role in maintaining GMP compliance and operational excellence through proactive maintenance strategies and coordination with various departments. The Utilities Incharge is responsible for developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules that enhance utility system reliability and operational efficiency. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring system performance, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Effective communication and coordination with Production, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams are necessary to support seamless manufacturing activities. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving capabilities, and proficiency with maintenance documentation and Microsoft Office applications to precisely manage records and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation and preventive maintenance of all utility systems crucial for pharmaceutical manufacturing, including HVAC systems, industrial refrigeration, boilers, and generators.
- Oversee Air Handling Units, ammonia chilling systems, hot water boilers, diesel generators, and the dehumidification of all utility systems to ensure continuous availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and optimize utility system performance.
- Monitor utility system performance rigorously, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures promptly and coordinate corrective maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production operations.
- Ensure all utility operations comply fully with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and established engineering best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, equipment logbooks, and utility system documentation to support audit readiness and operational transparency.
- Enforce safety regulations stringently and promote safe working practices within the utility management team and broader manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate effectively with Production, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control departments to support and facilitate pharmaceutical manufacturing activities.
- Lead and supervise a team of five maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight to ensure high standards of operation.
