Red Lotus (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Manager Trade to join our team. This role focuses on overseeing and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, managing import and export operations effectively, and applying extensive expertise in the banking industry and customs procedures. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of relevant experience and demonstrates a strong ability to navigate the complexities of global trade practices. Although this position does not involve team management responsibilities, it requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve operational excellence. The Manager Trade consistently monitors changes in international trade laws and customs regulations to maintain compliance and mitigate risks. This person coordinates with customs brokers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to streamline trade processes. They review shipping documentation, ensure timely clearance of goods, and resolve any challenges related to cross-border transactions. By leveraging their knowledge of banking and customs, they support Red Lotus’s mission to facilitate efficient and lawful trade operations that contribute to the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, banking regulations, and customs requirements.
• Manage all aspects of import and export operations to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor changes in trade regulations and advise the company on necessary adjustments to policies.
• Coordinate with customs officials, freight forwarders, and financial institutions to facilitate smooth transaction flows.
• Review and validate documentation related to shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and licenses.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues in trade activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align trade operations with corporate objectives.
• Support audits and investigations related to trade compliance and billing processes.
• Maintain detailed records of trade transactions and compliance activities for reporting purposes.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance compliance, reduce delays, and optimize costs.
