Resource Efficient Cleaner Production is seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level role is ideal for fresh graduates with educational backgrounds in commerce or finance, such as I.Com, B.Com, or BBA in finance. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in fundamental accounting functions including bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software will be essential for managing daily accounting tasks and supporting the accounting department. As a Trainee Accountant, the individual will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position requires strong attention to detail and basic understanding of audit processes. This role does not involve managing a team but offers significant learning opportunities to develop skills in account reconciliation and financial analysis within a supportive environment focused on efficient resource management and cleaner production.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records using accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
- Perform bank reconciliation on a regular basis to ensure consistency in financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports to support internal financial analysis and decision-making.
- Support tax compliance activities by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with tax authorities when required.
- Contribute to audit preparation by organizing financial records and providing required documentation to auditors.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data entry, financial analysis, and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to understand and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous learning opportunities to improve accounting knowledge and technical skills.
