Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated Biomedical Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join their innovative team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in applying principles of engineering and biology to develop and improve medical devices and technologies. This position involves leading a team of three professionals, driving collaborative projects from concept to implementation, and ensuring all biomedical solutions meet the highest standards of safety and efficacy. The role requires a strong foundation in biomechanics and proficiency in biomechanical modeling software to analyze and simulate physiological systems. The Biomedical Engineer will work closely with medical practitioners and research teams to design, test, and enhance equipment that improves patient outcomes. By leveraging expertise in biomechanical principles, the engineer will contribute to cutting-edge research and product development initiatives. Managing a small team, the role includes overseeing technical progress, mentoring staff, coordinating interdisciplinary activities, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This position demands attention to detail, innovation, and the ability to translate complex biological systems into functional engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test biomedical devices and systems that address clinical needs and improve healthcare delivery.
• Utilize biomechanical modeling software to create simulations for analyzing human body mechanics and predict the performance of medical devices.
• Lead and manage a team of three biomedical engineering professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers, and other engineers to translate medical needs into engineering specifications and solutions.
• Conduct experiments and collect data to validate and enhance the design and functionality of biomedical equipment.
• Ensure all biomedical products and projects comply with relevant safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Stay current with advancements in biomedical engineering technologies and methodologies to incorporate innovative techniques into projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and project status to stakeholders.
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of biomedical instruments and tools to guarantee precision and reliability.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication within project teams to align objectives and optimize development processes.
• Identify potential risks in biomedical designs and develop mitigation strategies to enhance product safety and efficacy.
• Support grant writing and funding applications by providing technical expertise and project feasibility analysis.
