Rit is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic AC Technician HVAC Helper to support our HVAC service team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role requires a basic understanding of HVAC principles and a willingness to work closely with experienced technicians to assist in equipment installation, servicing, and maintenance tasks. The position does not require prior work experience, making it perfect for freshers who aspire to build a career in the HVAC industry. As an HVAC helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that installations and repairs are completed efficiently and safely. You will assist in handling tools, electrical wiring basics, and refrigeration cycle operations, including gas charging and brazing. Safety compliance and proper use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters are essential components of this job. This role offers hands-on experience with split AC installations and routine maintenance, providing a solid foundation in HVAC technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including split air conditioners.
- Handle hand and power tools safely and effectively during service and installation tasks.
- Follow safety procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements during fieldwork.
- Support electrical wiring work and circuit testing using appropriate tools, including multimeters.
- Perform basic refrigeration cycle tasks such as gas charging with refrigerants R32 and R410A under supervision.
- Assist in brazing and assembly of HVAC components to ensure proper system integrity.
- Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance of HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Learn and apply thermodynamics principles to support system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all equipment is handled with care.
- Report any operational deficiencies or safety concerns to senior technicians immediately.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving HVAC technologies.
