Description
As a CCTV Operator at Roc, you play a crucial role in maintaining the security and safety of the premises by monitoring surveillance equipment and recording activities in real time. Your primary responsibility is to observe security cameras continuously, identify unusual or suspicious behavior, and report incidents promptly to appropriate personnel. You use your attention to detail and knowledge of video recording systems to ensure all activities on site are documented accurately and securely. Basic computer skills enable you to operate video playback and recording software effectively. In this role, you work independently without managing a team but collaborate closely with security and emergency response teams to support their efforts. You maintain vigilance during your shifts, adhering to company protocols and legal regulations related to privacy and security. Your role is essential for preventing security breaches, managing emergency situations, and maintaining a safe environment for all individuals on the premises.
Responsibilities
- Monitor live surveillance cameras to detect and observe any suspicious or unauthorized activities within the premises.
- Operate video recording and playback equipment to capture and review footage as required for investigations or security purposes.
- Report incidents or irregular activities to the security team or management promptly and accurately, providing detailed descriptions and evidence.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of surveillance activities, incidents, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform routine checks on CCTV equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any malfunctions or technical issues for repair.
- Follow established security protocols and legal guidelines to ensure privacy and safety of all monitored areas.
- Assist in reviewing recorded footage to support security investigations or incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion during daily operations.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures related to security and surveillance operations.
- Provide support to emergency teams by alerting them about detected threats or incidents in a timely manner.
