Description
Royal Fans is seeking a skilled IT Hardware Expert with at least five years of experience to join our technology team. This role involves managing and supporting all aspects of computer hardware and network infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient operations. The successful candidate will oversee hardware installation, system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, delivering high-quality technical support. They will lead a team of four, guiding their efforts to meet the company's technology objectives and maintain smooth hardware functionality across the organization. The IT Hardware Expert will apply their extensive knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking devices such as switches, routers, and Wi-Fi systems. In addition to hands-on hardware repair and support, the role involves managing server systems and ensuring seamless integration within the LAN/WAN environment. Strong troubleshooting skills, alongside expertise with Windows operating systems installation and configuration, are essential to resolve issues promptly while maintaining optimal hardware performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of four IT hardware specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to enhance team productivity and skill development.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Ensure comprehensive hardware troubleshooting and repair to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.
- Manage and support network infrastructure components, including LAN/WAN setups, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi systems, ensuring consistent connectivity and network performance.
- Oversee server management tasks, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance to support enterprise applications and services.
- Collaborate with internal departments to assess hardware requirements and recommend improvements or upgrades aligned with organizational needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation for hardware inventories, configurations, repairs, and system changes to support audit and compliance requirements.
- Implement and enforce hardware maintenance schedules to proactively prevent equipment failures and extend the life cycle of IT assets.
- Perform Windows operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on various hardware configurations.
- Stay current with emerging hardware technologies, industry trends, and best practices to apply innovative solutions and improve IT hardware systems.
- Diagnose complex hardware malfunctions and devise appropriate solutions swiftly to minimize business disruption.
- Coordinate with vendors and external support providers for hardware procurement, repairs, and warranty claims as necessary.
