SA Accounting Solutions (A Canadian Auditing and Accounting firm) is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Auditor with at least two years of experience to join our audit team. The ideal candidate is proficient in audit planning and execution and has a strong understanding of financial statement auditing, GAAP, and GAAS standards. This role requires expert-level skills in Excel and the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality work. The Senior Auditor will conduct thorough audit procedures, analyze data, and prepare accurate documentation and reporting to ensure compliance and support the integrity of financial statements. This position demands excellent English communication skills to effectively articulate audit findings and collaborate with various departments. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires an independent and self-motivated approach to handle complex audit tasks and provide valuable insights through data analytics. The Senior Auditor will play a key role in driving the accuracy, transparency, and accountability of our clients' financial information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits by evaluating financial records and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and GAAS standards.
• Perform detailed financial statement auditing to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze complex data sets using advanced Excel functions and data analytics techniques to detect anomalies and trends.
• Prepare clear, structured, and comprehensive audit documentation and reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Communicate audit results effectively in written and verbal formats to management and other stakeholders.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and adherence to professional auditing standards.
• Stay updated on auditing best practices, regulatory changes, and industry trends to enhance audit quality.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather relevant information and support audit procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and recommend solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
