Plant Process Manager

Description

Saab Moulded Furniture seeks an experienced Plant Process Manager to lead and enhance manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in an engineering environment and will oversee a team of five personnel. This role demands a keen focus on optimizing process control, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in production efficiency. The Plant Process Manager will play a critical role in aligning production processes with organizational goals, maintaining exceptional quality, and meeting regulatory requirements. The Plant Process Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling manufacturing processes to achieve maximum efficiency and quality output. This position requires applying lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 to sustain high standards. The manager will monitor operational data, manage key performance indicators, and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies. Effective leadership and coordination within the team and across departments are essential to meet production targets and support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead process control and optimization initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Plan and schedule production activities to meet delivery timelines and resource allocation.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve operational performance.
• Apply Six Sigma tools to identify defects and drive continuous process improvements.
• Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 standards.
• Analyze operational data and track key performance indicators to evaluate production effectiveness.
• Coordinate and supervise a team of five staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to resolve process issues.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain consistent production processes.
• Drive initiatives aimed at cost reduction while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and equipment failures.
• Prepare detailed reports on production performance, quality metrics, and safety compliance for senior management.
• Facilitate continuous training and development programs focusing on process improvement and safety awareness.
• Lead investigations into process deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting manufacturing processes.
