As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist with daily accounting tasks under close supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records. You will gain hands-on experience processing financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing reports. This position does not include team management responsibilities but provides a strong foundation for growth in the accounting field. Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Assist in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Use Microsoft Excel and accounting software to input, analyze, and manage financial data.
- Help prepare financial documents, reports, and summaries as directed by senior accounting staff.
- Monitor billing processes and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments with vendors and customers.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by compiling necessary data and documentation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with company policies and financial standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy in financial processes.
- Continuously update knowledge of accounting principles, company procedures, and software tools through training and practical experience.
- Identify and report discrepancies or issues in financial transactions promptly to supervisors for resolution.
