SENIOR CAD TECHNICAN

Sadiq Gill Pakistan Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses solid expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD) with a strong focus on AutoCAD and AutoCAD drafting. This role involves creating precise technical drawings and plans that support engineering and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to translate concepts and designs into detailed schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Attention to detail and proficiency in technical drafting are key to successfully fulfilling this role. As a Senior CAD Technician at Sadiq Gill Pakistan Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for producing high-quality CAD drawings, reviewing and modifying designs, and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Although this position does not involve managing a team, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership in your technical domain by providing expert guidance and support to junior staff. You play a crucial role in enhancing project delivery by maintaining organized documentation and adhering to project timelines. The position requires at least two years of proven experience as an AutoCAD technician along with a commitment to continuous improvement in drafting practices.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to produce precise CAD models and plans.
• Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback from project managers and engineers.
• Ensure all technical documentation complies with industry standards and company specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Review designs and drawings for completeness and accuracy before final release.
• Maintain organized files and databases of CAD drawings and associated technical documents.
• Provide technical support and advice related to CAD software and drafting techniques to junior technicians.
• Follow best practices for CAD drafting, including layering, dimensioning, and annotation conventions.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute insights to improve design processes and workflows.
• Assist in training new employees on AutoCAD systems and drafting standards where applicable.
• Continuously update skills and knowledge of the latest CAD technologies and industry trends.
