Sarmad Paper Mart is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant / Inventory Clerk with 3 years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a solid background in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably with experience in paper markets or wholesale environments. This role involves managing sales, purchases, cash transactions, and accurate record-keeping using cash book systems or software. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records and ensuring billing and invoicing accuracy for wholesale customers and delivery operations. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this role, the Accountant / Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in monitoring customer credit limits and overseeing recovery tracking, supporting financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The candidate should be proficient with MS Excel or local accounting software such as QuickBooks, with educational qualifications including B.Com, BBA, or equivalent education with strong math skills. Candidates with track records of high accuracy, integrity, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will succeed in this position. Responsibilities
- Manage daily sales, purchases, and cash transactions accurately in the cash book or accounting software.
- Maintain detailed and correct inventory records of paper stock, bundles, and reels, tracking all incoming and outgoing items.
- Generate precise bills and receipts for wholesale customers and local delivery drivers to ensure billing accuracy.
- Monitor customer credit limits and track outstanding market recoveries to support financial control and reconciliation efforts.
- Conduct stock audits regularly to verify inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy to maintain up-to-date financial and inventory records.
- Support accounting functions by assisting in bookkeeping and preparing reports as required.
- Utilize MS Excel or local accounting software proficiently to manage financial data and inventory tracking effectively.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations to maintain operational integrity.
- Work closely with sales and warehouse teams to facilitate smooth processing of transactions and inventory movement.
- Identify and report any irregularities in stock or accounts to senior management promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information with a high degree of professionalism.
- Adapt to the fast-paced market environment by managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
