Description
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with registration from the Pakistan Engineering Council and brings at least ten years of construction experience, including expertise in multi-storey hotel or high-rise projects. The Construction Manager ensures meticulous project planning, cost control, and material procurement in line with approved drawings and relevant regulations enforced by the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA). Through diligent site management and safety enforcement, the role guarantees all activities are performed to exacting standards while maintaining smooth communication channels with architects, consultants, and senior leadership by submitting detailed weekly progress reports.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and finishing construction activities to ensure project delivery according to schedule and quality standards.
- Manage and lead a team of 15 site personnel, promoting effective teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to project goals.
- Oversee contractor selection, performance monitoring, and compliance with contractual obligations, maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Implement and monitor project budgets, controlling costs through efficient resource allocation, timely procurement, and rigorous invoice verification.
- Enforce site safety protocols and regulatory compliance with Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) standards to maintain a secure working environment.
- Review and approve construction drawings and specifications in coordination with architects and engineering consultants, ensuring strict adherence to design and quality requirements.
- Prepare and present comprehensive weekly progress reports to executive management, highlighting project milestones, challenges, and resource needs.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and labor necessary for uninterrupted construction operations.
- Anticipate potential delays or issues in construction activities and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize impact on project delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all construction activities, including site logs, inspection reports, and quality assurance records, for project transparency and audit purposes.
