SGS Pakistan is seeking an experienced engineer to help industrial clients identify, quantify, and reduce energy losses across their operations.
This is not a conventional office-based engineering role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in industrial environments, solving complex operational challenges, and delivering measurable savings through data-driven analysis and practical recommendations.
Whether your background is in energy auditing, utilities management, process optimization, reliability, maintenance, plant engineering, or industrial operations, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Lead energy and utility assessments at industrial and commercial facilities
- Evaluate steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, cooling water, electrical, thermal and process utility systems
- Conduct steam trap surveys and assess boilers, heat exchangers, condensate recovery systems, pumps, fans, compressors and distribution networks
- Perform field measurements using power analyzers, flow meters, pressure, temperature, ultrasonic and other diagnostic instruments
- Identify energy conservation opportunities and quantify technical and financial benefits
- Develop energy-saving recommendations with ROI, payback and implementation roadmaps
- Prepare professional audit reports and present findings to client engineering teams and senior management
- Support proposal development, technical scoping and business development activities

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Energy, Industrial, Chemical or related Engineering disciplines
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Energy Audits
- Utilities Engineering
- Plant Engineering
- Reliability Engineering
- Maintenance Engineering
- Process Engineering
- Energy Management
- Industrial Operations
- Manufacturing Excellence / Continuous Improvement
- Strong understanding of industrial utility systems such as steam, compressed air, electrical distribution, HVAC, boilers, pumps, fans or thermal systems
- Experience using industrial instrumentation, test equipment and process measurement tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop savings calculations and business cases
- Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Excel and engineering calculations
Willingness to travel extensively to industrial facilities across Pakistan
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
- NEECA certifications
- ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems experience
- Experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Fertilizers, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Textile, Cement, Pharma, FMCG, Manufacturing or Process Industries
MBA or business exposure would be an added advantage
