Description
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for implementing total productive maintenance (TPM) principles and executing condition monitoring to anticipate equipment failures and prevent breakdowns. This position requires coordinating spare parts availability to minimize delays during repairs and ensuring motor control centers and various factory machinery are maintained at peak condition using both preventive and corrective maintenance techniques. Skilled in workshop machinery service, alignment equipment handling, and fault resolution, the engineer contributes to a culture of continuous improvement in plant maintenance. The role demands strong analytical abilities, meticulous documentation, and proactive problem-solving to maintain the highest standards of equipment performance crucial to Shangrila Foods' manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce machine breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
- Perform predictive maintenance techniques and condition monitoring to anticipate failures and plan repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues promptly and apply effective fault resolution strategies.
- Conduct total productive maintenance activities to enhance equipment efficiency and lifespan.
- Use SAP S/4HANA PM/MM modules for maintenance planning, work order management, and spare parts coordination.
- Analyze MTTR and MTBF metrics to identify areas of improvement in maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
- Interpret and utilize technical drawings and AutoCAD layouts for accurate maintenance planning and fault diagnosis.
- Service workshop machinery and use alignment equipment to ensure precise mechanical operations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motor control centers and all factory machinery.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records, logs, and reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize impacts on manufacturing schedules during maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance strategies and propose upgrades to existing systems or workflows.
