Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Anatomy. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic growth and research activities of the department by providing expert knowledge in human anatomy and related disciplines. This role involves delivering high-quality education to medical students, developing and updating curriculum content, and employing diverse teaching methodologies to ensure comprehensive understanding. The candidate should have at least two years of experience in medical education or related research, demonstrating strong command over anatomical sciences and related imaging techniques. The position focuses on teaching theoretical and practical aspects of human anatomy, including histology and gross anatomy dissection. The candidate will be responsible for integrating modern medical education tools and technologies such as 3D anatomy software and medical imaging techniques to enhance student learning. Additionally, the Assistant Professor will engage in scholarly activities, including research projects, curriculum development, and employing qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Though this role does not involve managing a team, it requires excellent coordination with departmental colleagues and active participation in academic collaborations and seminars.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in human anatomy, histology, and gross anatomy dissection to undergraduate medical students.
• Develop, update, and implement educational curriculum in alignment with university standards and advances in medical sciences.
• Utilize anatomical imaging techniques and 3D anatomy software to support interactive and visual learning experiences.
• Conduct research activities related to anatomical sciences and contribute to publications and presentations in academic forums.
• Apply research methodologies including qualitative research methods and statistical analysis using software such as SPSS and R.
• Evaluate and assess student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations with a focus on learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty members to organize seminars, workshops, and training sessions to enhance academic infrastructure and knowledge dissemination.
• Guide students in academic projects and research work, fostering critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in medical education and anatomical research techniques.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the strategic planning and development of the anatomy program.
