The Assistant Professor will collaborate with colleagues in research activities, participate in grant writing and proposal development, and undertake systematic reviews to support the university’s academic goals. While this position does not include team management responsibilities, the successful candidate must effectively coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to foster a collaborative learning environment and support ongoing research projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical training sessions in medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop, update, and implement the medical curriculum to ensure alignment with current medical standards and practices.
• Conduct clinical research studies, including designing, executing, and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Apply evidence-based medicine approaches in teaching and clinical practice to enhance patient outcomes.
• Provide high-quality patient care in clinical settings affiliated with the university.
• Engage in grant writing and develop competitive grant proposals to secure research funding.
• Perform systematic reviews and critical appraisals of medical literature to support research and educational activities.
• Analyze research data accurately and use findings to contribute to medical knowledge and inform teaching.
• Manage budgeting and financial planning related to research projects and departmental resources.
• Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to promote interdisciplinary research and educational initiatives.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and professional development programs.
• Mentor students and junior faculty in research methodologies and clinical practice, fostering professional growth.
