Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University seeks a dedicated Lecturer of Basic Medical Sciences to join the academic faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in foundational medical science subjects such as anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. This role involves designing and developing curriculum content aligned with university standards and educational objectives. The lecturer will engage in student assessment, provide academic support, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the medical education program. Experience with laboratory techniques and research methodology is essential to guide students effectively in both theoretical and practical aspects of medical sciences. The position requires a minimum of one year of relevant teaching or academic experience. While this role does not involve managing a team, the lecturer will collaborate with colleagues across departments, participate in academic committees, and contribute to research and academic writing projects. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, commitment to academic excellence, and capability to foster a supportive learning environment for medical students.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures and practical sessions in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and related basic medical sciences.
- Develop, update, and implement medical science curricula and educational materials in line with university standards.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Design laboratory practicals and supervise students during experimental activities to reinforce theoretical concepts.
- Guide and support students in academic and research projects related to basic medical sciences.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic committees, and continuous professional development activities.
- Contribute to research methodology training and assist students with academic writing and scientific communication.
- Stay informed of the latest developments in medical education and incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, assessment results, and coursework.
- Support the accreditation and quality assurance processes of the academic programs offered by the university.
