Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University is seeking a motivated Software Developer with at least one year of professional experience to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in JavaScript, REST API development, and cloud platforms. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that align with university goals and values. The Software Developer will actively participate in an agile development environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products on schedule. The position does not include team management responsibilities but requires excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively within the development team. The Software Developer will be responsible for implementing automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to ensure reliability and efficiency of the software delivery pipeline. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, and TypeScript while contributing to meaningful projects in the educational sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using JavaScript, React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs that support university systems and services.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and users to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Develop automated tests to validate code quality and reduce defects in production.
- Manage and monitor cloud platform resources and optimize application performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes supporting rapid delivery cycles.
- Resolve software defects and provide ongoing support to maintain system stability and performance.
- Document software functionalities, configurations, and workflows for future reference and team use.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in software development and suggest improvements for processes and technology stack.
