Description
Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University is seeking a skilled Software Engineer/System Analyst with a minimum of six years of experience to join their dynamic technology team. This role focuses on gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing robust system architectures, and overseeing end-to-end software development life cycle activities. The ideal candidate collaborates with stakeholders to transform business needs into technical solutions, ensuring high-quality software delivery through effective testing and quality assurance practices. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is essential to adapt to iterative development and continuous improvement cycles. The position requires strong expertise in database design, SQL, and cloud computing platforms, alongside proficiency in version control systems such as Git. The Software Engineer/System Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to integrate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines that accelerate software release processes. Although this role does not include team management responsibilities, it demands excellent communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling seamless project execution from requirements gathering to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze comprehensive business requirements by engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead and contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline standards.
- Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to plan, execute, and review development sprints for continuous project improvement.
- Develop detailed database designs and write optimized SQL queries to support application data management needs.
- Implement software testing and quality assurance processes to identify defects and ensure the reliability of software products.
- Manage version control using Git to handle codebase updates, branching, and merges effectively.
- Deploy and manage cloud computing resources to support application hosting and scalability requirements.
- Set up and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Use User Story Mapping techniques to translate business requirements into actionable development tasks and prioritize features.
- Model and document business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to optimize workflows and system interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and business analysts to match technical solutions with business needs.
- Stay current with emerging technology trends and best practices in software engineering and system analysis to recommend improvements.
