Description
Sindh Bank Limited is seeking an experienced and competent professional for the position of Manager Operations to oversee and manage branch operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, effective internal controls, and strict compliance with the Bank’s policies and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising financial and non-financial transactions, cash management, customer account profiling, screening activities, and regulatory reporting. The role also involves monitoring branch expenses, resolving customer complaints, addressing audit observations, minimizing operational and reputational risks, and ensuring compliance with AML/CFT/CPF requirements. The incumbent will coordinate with Head Office departments, Compliance Division, regulators, and external auditors while guiding branch staff to maintain operational efficiency, service quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations to meet assigned deposit and New-to-Bank (NTB) account targets, focusing primarily on Current and Savings Accounts.
- Monitor and manage branch expenses, ensuring expenditures remain within the approved budget and secure necessary approvals for any overspending.
- Enforce strict compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Customer Protection Framework (CPF), and internal policies to mitigate operational and reputational risks.
- Supervise, authorize, and monitor all financial and non-financial transactions including cash management activities, adhering to delegated authorities and operational limits.
- Ensure accurate and timely profiling of customer accounts, activation of dormant accounts, and comprehensive screening of customers and transactions using systems like CBS, Firco, and money transfer platforms, reporting suspicious activities to the Compliance Division.
- Guarantee fair treatment of customers by addressing complaint resolutions promptly and improving customer service continuously.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the branch achieves satisfactory ratings in internal audits. Address and resolve all SBP inspection observations within defined timelines, applying corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and submit reports and returns timely and accurately to Head Office, SBP, external auditors, and other relevant bodies, coordinating effectively with internal departments and regulatory entities for compliance guidance.
- Avoid avoidable penalty items by proactively monitoring branch operations, promptly rectifying deficiencies, and adhering fully to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational performance closely and keep the branch staff informed and compliant with updates to Bank policies and SBP regulations.
- Lead, train, and mentor branch staff to ensure high standards of attendance, punctuality, conduct, and discipline in line with the Bank’s policies.
- Support staff professional development through structured training sessions, effective succession planning, and strategic rotation of key operational roles.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to enhance branch operational effectiveness and regulatory adherence.
Experience :
Minimum 3 years banking / F.I. experience. Meeting high standards of services for external and internal customers by ensuring process standardization. Must have knowledge of SBP prudential regulations.
Qualification :
Minimum Graduate, preferably M.B.A. / M.Com, from HEC recognized university
