Description
Skilldockhq seeks a hands-on AI Engineer to drive AI transformation and client solutions that deliver measurable business impact. This role requires identifying high-value AI opportunities, building practical AI-powered tools, and automating workflows to enhance productivity across the organization. You will collaborate closely with leadership and multiple departments to integrate AI capabilities into core business processes, fostering operational efficiency and innovation. The ideal candidate works comfortably at the intersection of technology and business, translating complex AI concepts into practical applications. You will also lead training initiatives to increase AI fluency across teams, establish best practices for responsible AI use, and contribute to scaling internal solutions into client-facing offerings. This role demands 3+ years of technical experience with AI platforms, cloud services, integrations, and automation tools, while managing no direct team but influencing cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Identify repetitive or inefficient workflows and design AI-driven automation solutions that increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
- Build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered tools and automations using large language models, APIs, AI agents, and workflow automation platforms.
- Develop internal applications supporting process automation, knowledge management, reporting, proposal generation, customer support, sales enablement, project management, and documentation.
- Partner with leadership and department heads to prioritize AI initiatives that align with strategic business goals and deliver measurable value.
- Evaluate and select AI platforms and models considering business applicability, scalability, security, and ease of integration.
- Design and maintain end-to-end AI-enabled workflows integrated with operational, CRM, PSA, and client management systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, and others.
- Implement rapid prototypes and scale them into robust, production-grade AI applications.
- Establish repeatable standards, frameworks, and best practices to ensure scalable and secure AI deployment across the company.
- Lead hands-on AI training sessions, develop onboarding materials, playbooks, and explain complex AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical staff.
- Promote responsible AI governance, compliance, and security practices that safeguard data and align with organizational policies.
- Continuously monitor emerging AI technologies, assessing them for real-world business applicability and integration potential.
- Contribute to the company’s AI strategy by identifying innovative ways AI can transform operations and client services.
- Translate internal AI successes into scalable client-facing offerings, participating in solution architecture and implementation for external projects.
- Support business development efforts by identifying AI-driven revenue opportunities in automation and infrastructure services.
- Operate independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment, managing evolving priorities and technology changes effectively.
